Abstract | In this paper, a novel composite right / left handed transmission line structure composed of six double spiral ring resonator is proposed. The proposed transmission line is designed, simulated and fabricated using an extremely thin and flexible substrate. The unit cell of the proposed transmission line, consisting of a double spiral resonator, is simulated using Ansys designer simulation software. The unit cell dispersion diagram and the impedance characteristic are analyzed to characterize the metamaterial properties of the transmission line structure. The proposed composite right/left handed transmission line exhibits a double negative characteristic with reasonable agreement between the simulated and measured characteristics. 2020 IEEE. |
