Abstract

The study aims to look for the main aspects of reformation in the thought of Imam Wali Ullah Ahmad bin Abdul Rahim Al- Dehlawi. It also higlights his personal and objective characteristics which helped him play a prominent reformist role in the twelfth century AH. The researcher relies on several scientific methods, including the inductive and analytical method, and reaches to the conclusion that Imam Wali Ullah’s reforming project is an inclusive project, which included Islamic Creed, Morality, Fiqh and other aspects of Muslim life. His great efforts enabled him to eliminate suspicions from the mind of Muslims and reassure them about their religion and Sharia. As a result, they can stand on a solid ground of faith and righteous acts. Therefore, they may reclaim the leadership of the humanity to rehabilitate the earth in the light of Islamic Sharia.
