Abstractهدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن تقدير درجة فعالية الاجتماعات المدرسية في مدارس محافظة إربد – شمال الأردن. شارك في الدراسة (133) معلما و (46) مديرا من أفراد عينة مقصودة. أنا الأداة فهي استبانة من نوع ليكرت مكونة من (29) فقرة موزعة على خمسة محاور تمثل فعالية الاجتماعات. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن المشاركين أوردوا تقديرا معتدلا نسبيا لدرجة فعالية الاجتماعات المدرسية. وقد جاء محور الإجراءات بمتوسط مرتفع نسبيا، يليه محوري جدول الأعمال و المداولات. بينما جاء محور إدارة الوقت و محور الجدوى من الاجتماعات في آخر المحاور. وقد أظهرت النتائج أنه لم يكن للمتغيرات تأثير على إجابات المشاركين باستثناء متغير المسمى الوظيفي حيث ظهرت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المديرين و المدرسين لصالح المديرين. و انتهت الدراسة بملاحظات ختامية و توصيات.

Alternative AbstractThis study aimed at investigating the degree of school meetings effectiveness as perceived by teachers and principals at Irbid district - north of Jordan. A 29-item Likert-type questionnaire was administered to 133 teachers and 46 principals of a convenient sample. The findings revealed a moderate degree of perceived school meetings effectiveness in general. Meetings Procedures got a high degree. Meetings' Agenda and Deliberations came next compared with a low degree for the other two dimensions, namely management of time and the worthiness of meetings. No statistically significant differences that could be attributed to demographic characteristics were found except for differences between principals and teachers. The study concluded with conclusions and recommendations.
