Qatar could host WCEE for two more years

Description | Qatar could host the World Congress on Engineering Education (WCEE), which is being held in Doha, at least two more years. The event is organised by Texas A&M University in Qatar (TAMUQ) and sponsored by Maersk Oil. Dr Sheikha Al Misnad, President of Qatar University (QU), emphasised the value of cultural diversity in performing the work of an engineer. Among other qualities useful for an engineer, she said, were creativity, problem solving skills and social responsibility. She added that in QU the number of female engineer students is over 60 percent. |
