الملخصFlaring is an essential part of each industrial plant in the oil and gas industry, but excessive flaring during unplanned plant upsets will eventually pose significant challenges to the environment and operational costs. Recently, research and development have been actively seeking and publishing solutions to this problem and suggesting efficient flare-reduction measures. Therefore, implementing sustainable practices ensures that wasted resources and energy are conserved, captured, and utilized. In this thesis, the flare gaseous from an ethylene plant will be investigated while routing it back to the cracking furnaces, utilizing flare waste as fuel input to the furnace burners with methane was investigated using the ANSYS Fluent program. Different flare gaseous from 11 different flare streams were tested as a mixture with methane in the burner as fuel through the primary supply and with four secondary inlets. Moreover, the final graph results show each temperature profile for every case compared to normal furnace reference, and emissions results were presented along with furnace temperature contour for each case. Finally, the best mixture to be used was discussed along with its emission reduction, contributing to a healthier planet for present and future generations.
