AbstractThis review describes the guidelines and potential applications of Prosopis juliflora (P. juliflora) as a waste-to-value resource. It aimed to explore various methods of P. juliflora control through utilization, including direct utilization of plant parts and extraction of useful secondary metabolites and antibiotics for use in the medical field. In addition, plant extracts could also be used as biocontrol agents against microbes causing diseases or spoilage of fruits and vegetables in the agricultural domain. Moreover, P. juliflora can also be used as a significant value-added product for water treatment since it will not develop competition with food-based resources. By converting waste materials into valuable products, waste-to-value approaches contribute to the development of a circular economy and environmental sustainability that minimizes waste and maximizes resource efficiency.
