AbstractTo enhance the reliability of supply to the remote load like base transceiver station (BTS) load, battery storage sources are used. However, selection of suitable number of battery units and regulation of power using a DC-DC converter is still a challenging task. A very few papers are reported in this direction. To fill this gap, method to select the number of battery units required for a given BTS load and the designing of current and voltage controller for interfacing the battery source via boost converter to the load is discussed. Bode plot analysis is carried out for the tuning of inner current and outer voltage controllers to regulate the power supply. The performance has been analyzed using MATLAB/Simulink.
