AbstractThis chapter provides details of aspects of complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs) in the State of Qatar. A brief description of the geography and demographic make-up of Qatar is provided at the beginning of the chapter, followed by an overview of the comprehensive healthcare system and ambitious national health vision. Qatar’s national health system has undergone rapid development over the past 20 years, consequently, there has been considerable transition in governmental offices that implement and support the national health strategy. Documents and general information relating to the regulation, licensing, prevalence and cost of CAMs in Qatar are therefore continuously evolving in line with the national vision to deliver safe and world-leading healthcare services to its residents. An attempt has been made to gather relevant information from diverse reliable resources to present to readers up-to-date information regarding CAM practice in Qatar.
