Starting a New Venture in Qatar: The Interplay Between Entrepreneurial Passion, Fear of Failure, and Taking Action
Abstract
Emotions play a vital role in entrepreneurs' journey influencing their decisions before, during, and after launching new ventures. According to the investigation by Cowen and Keltner (2017), which conducted an in-depth examination of documented emotional states, a total of 27 unique categories of emotional experiences were identified. The study's findings went beyond simple categorization, revealing that the distinctions between these emotional categories were not clearly defined but rather indistinct, indicating that emotions are arranged along a continuous spectrum. Among these 27 emotions that humans experience, there are some which affect decision-making more than others, and some decisions have a significant effect on the personal and social lives of entrepreneurs and their family members.
