| Abstract | من المؤكد نظريا وعمليا أن لمدير المدرسة دورا حاسما في فعالية المدرسة ونجاحها. ولكن على الرغم من هذا فإن عملية اختيار المدير تتم بطرق غير علمية أحيانا وغير موضوعية أحيانا أخرى. ومن أجل تحسين هذه العملية قدمت هذه الدراسة تصورا مقترحا لاختيار مدير المدرسة. ويتكون هذا المقترح من تسع مراحل هي: 1- وضع سياسات الاختيار وتحديد المرشحين المحتملين. 2- تحديد التوصيف الوظيفي. 3- تحديد معايير الاختيار. 4- الإعلان عن الوظيفة. 5- جمع طلبات الالتحاق. 6- تنقيح الطلبات. 7- تقويم المرشحين. 8- اختيار المرشحين. 9- ما بعد التعيين ويشتمل على: التعريف، والنمو المهني، والتقويم المستمر. |

| Alternative Abstract | School Principal plays critical role in school effectiveness and school success . Therefore, an extra efforts should be made to select good principals . As part of these efforts this study proposed nine steps for selecting good principals . These steps are 1-Developing the selection policies, and identifying potential leaders 2-Developing a job-Description. 3-Developing the selection criteria. 4-Vacancy announcement. 5-Collecting applications. 6-Screening the applications. 7-Assessing and rating the candidates. 8-Selecting the principal. 9-Post appointment activities. A-Orientation. B-Professional Development. C-ON the job evaluation. |
