| Abstract | يتميز القوم بلغاتهم، بها يتواصلون وبدراستها تُعرف طبائعهم وتكشف حياتهم اجتماعيا وفكريا وما دامت لغتهم وألفاظها باقية سيخلد ذكرهم، تناولت هذه الدراسة ألفاظ البحر في شعر الفيحاني دراسة معجمية دلالية، وتكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في رصد التطور اللغوي للألفاظ العربية وتغيير دلالاتها عبر العصور. استُعين في هذه الدراسة بنظرية الحقول الدلالية لتنصيف الألفاظ، ونظرية السياق ونظرية تحليل مكونات المعنى بغية الحصول على المعنى الدقيق للفظ من خلال سياقه وعلاقته بين ألفاظ الحقل الواحد، وقد قُسمت ألفاظ البحر إلى حقلين أساسيين وهما حقل ما هو طبيعي، وحقل ما هو صناعي، وينضوي تحت كليهما حقول متشعبة تحمل ألفاظ البحر في شعر الفيحاني ومعانيها والعلاقات فيما بينها. |

| Alternative Abstract | People are distinguished with their language; they use it to communicate with each other. Studying certain people language reveals their real characteristics and their social and intellectual lives, and if their language and its words remain, they will be immortalized. This study dealt with the meter words in Al-Faihany’s poetry lexically and semantically. The importance of this study lies in monitoring language development of Arabic words and the change of its meanings through history. This study used Semantic field theory for word classification, context theory, and meaning component analysis theory in order to get the exact meaning of a word through its context and relation with other words in the field. The meter words are divided into two main fields, the first field about natural things and the second one about artificial things. These two fields have under them many other fields that include the meter words in Al-Faihany’s poetry, their meanings, and relations between them. |
