    Abstract
This paper introduces a novel tapped switched-coupled-inductors Γ-source inverter (TSCL-ΓSI) with modified cell and high voltage boost ability. Unlike Γ-source inverter, input current in proposed topology is continuous which eliminates enormous inrush current at start up. Compared with asymmetrical ΓSI which has continuous input current, suggested network provides high voltage boost ability with lower shoot-through duty ratio. Hence, TSCL-ΓSI uses higher modulation ratio with reduced components stress and better output power quality. Furthermore, modified TSCL cell leads to decrease damaging effects of transformer leakage inductance by absorbing stored energy in windings. In comparison with successful modified tapped switched-coupled-inductors quasi-z-source network (mTSCL-qZSN), presented structure utilizes lesser number of windings turns which reduces costs and size of the inverter. In the other words, voltage gain is increased by lowering number of transformer turns. In addition proposed network has buck-boost ability, while previous SCL-qZS networks only can increase the input voltage. Finally TSCL-ΓSI has same ground between the input voltage and three phase inverter. Operation principle, theoretical equations and results in SIMULINK/MATLAB are given to confirm performance of the proposed structure.
