Control Methods for Minimizing Cross Regulation in Single Inductor Multiple Output Converters : A Review
Abstract
Single Inductor Multiple Output (SIMO) converter provides a cost-effective alternative to conventional power converters, which have more than one output. Its potential applications include portable devices, where multiple sources are required. SIMO on the other hand suffers with a major drawback of cross regulation among the outputs i.e. change in load at one submodule affects another. The problem of cross regulation plays a major role in stability and performance analysis of converters. In this paper the control methods ensure a good cross regulation and later the performances are summarized and collected.
