    Abstract
We propose an iterative compressive channel estimation and decoding scheme for network-channel-coded two-way relay sparse intersymbol interference channels. The underlying system model comprises two source nodes and one relay node. In the first time slot, the two sources simultaneously transmit their independent training pilots along with the channel-coded data. In the second time slot, the relay applies analog network coding to the sum of the received signals and broadcasts the result to the two sources. Each source then uses iterative compressive sensing (CS) based estimation and decoding to estimate the composite channels and recover the transmitted signal. We analyze the performance of our proposed CS-based scheme and demonstrate its efficacy over existing ones

Diversity-multiplexing tradeoff for log-normal fading channels

Nouri, Hatef; Touati, Farid; Uysal, Murat ( Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc. , 2016 , Article)
Although there has been a growing interest on the study of diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT), the existing works are mostly restricted to the outcomes reported for Rayleigh, Rician, and Nakagami fading channels. In ...

EM-MAC: An energy-aware multi-channel MAC protocol for multi-hop wireless networks

Sivanantha, Akhil; Hamdaoui, Bechir; Guizani, Mohsen; Cheng, Xiuzhen; Znati, Taieb (2012 , Conference)
We propose an energy-aware MAC protocol, referred to as EM-MAC, for multi-hop wireless networks with multi-channel access capabilities. EM-MAC relies on iMAC's efficient channel selection mechanism to resolve the medium ...
