In the essay The Doctors of Tomorrow Will Be Supercomputers, published online at futurism.com, Leary (2017) says doctors will be replaced by artificial intelligence-fed supercomputers. This is in line with many theorists and futurists including Kelly (2012) who, on a more "material" level, declared in Wired: Even those areas of medicine not defined by paperwork, such as surgery, are becoming increasingly robotic. The rote tasks of any information-intensive job can be automated. It doesn't matter if you are a doctor, lawyer, architect, reporter, or even programmer: The robot takeover will be epic.
