Abstract | In a recent meta-analysis published in CHEST (November 2021), Fong et al1 investigated the incidence of bleeding after thoracentesis and tube thoracostomy in patients with uncorrected coagulopathy. The authors used the Freeman-Tukey double arcsine transformation to deal with the proportions and reported a pooled incidence of zero percent. There are several aspects that can be improved. |
