AbstractThe journey of vitamin D from a simple bone health nutrient to a complex immunomodulator is a testament to the evolving and dynamic nature of scientific understanding. Reflecting on the centennial of vitamin D’s discovery, it is apt to examine the expanding role of vitamin D in immunoregulatory mechanisms, particularly given the prospective and promising frontier of vitamin D analogs in treating immune-related disorders. In Pharmacological Reviews, Artusa and White provide a comprehensive review of vitamin D, its receptor, and its analogs in immune system regulation
