    Abstract
Solar Desalination unit with three basins system used for groundwater treatment. The incoming rate of water was measured in Solar based Distillation collected water during the morning to evening (8:00 am to 6:00 pm). In the present study, Groundwater at Kaka-Nu-Tarapur, Gandhinagar was collected and characterised for physic-chemical parameters. The pH, Hardness, Bicarbonate, and Magnesium were found above the permissible limit values. The water was found unsuitable for potable use. After Solar based Distillation, the Groundwater was collected in collector and characterised for physic-chemical parameters. The contaminant deposition decreased the parameter such as pH, hardness, bicarbonate and magnesium. Groundwater complies with the drinking requirements. Therefore, condensation has been found to be useful and successful in groundwater treatment under solar radiation use via vaporisation.
