Pharmacological Frontiers: The Rise of Selective NaV1.8 Inhibition for Pain Management
الملخص
Pain is a multifaceted disorder encompassing sensory, emotional, and cognitive dimensions. It presents a ubiquitous challenge to human health and well-being, demanding effective and safe management strategies [1]. Various pharmacological interventions, including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, and opioids, have been employed in the management of pain. However, the efficacy of these agents is often limited by off-target effects, tolerability issues, and the potential for adverse events, thus necessitating a need for developing novel and selective analgesics.
